I just read a review of the new Lifebook E8310 in a german PC magazine and it mentions that the fan is noisy. I thought it had the same specs as the E8410 (except for the screen). According to the detailed E8410 review here, noise is not an issue. So is it noisy or not? Maybe the european E8310 + E8410 (Fujitsu Siemens) models are different from the ones in the US?

as long as it isn't grinding, it shouldn't bother anyone or yourself.

Thanks, Palta for your post. Actually, I came across the same product review in Germany and I am also wondering whether there is a difference between the US and the EU models. Here, the E8310 was twice tested as bothersome noisy. Did you buy the machine, Palta? Any further information on the fan sound of the EU models? Thanks, rob

I have a E8310 I wouldn't consider the fan noisy, compared to my girlfriends Dell Inspiron it's quiet. I have heard that the Fujitsu Siemens products are not the same quality build as the Japanese Fujitsu's that are sold in the US.

Thank you for your comment. May I ask you some more questions about the E8310?
