I have had my notebook for only 3 weeks, and it is now giving me problems. Today, i closed the lid on it, as i normally, and it turned off as usual. I came back a while later and pressed the on button and all the luights turned on.

The problem is, it turns on for about 5 seconds, with nothing displayed on the screen, and then turns itself off. It will then turn itself on again, and repeat this for many times.

There is no problem with the battery, as i have tried it on ther mains only, and it still doesn't work. Please, please someone help me.

Thankyou for any suggestions or comments.

Sounds just like the problem I had when I got my Xi 1546 laptop. It was broken right from the start so I couldn't use it at all. The laptop turned on for about 5 secs, closed itself and started again, doing this until I unplugged it. I returned it to my reseller, they promised a new one and sended the current one to repairing. Unfortunately they didn't get new shipments before the repair was done so I agreed to take the fixed one with extended warranty. On the repair report it says they had replaced the motherboard. I haven't had any problems for now. So there's propably a manufacturing fault in certain motherboards. Hopefully this problem is not broadly extended.

Thanks for your post. I think at the moment, i'm going to contact Fujitsu, seeing as though it is still under warranty, and see what they say.
