Hi ya'll, i have a fujitsu s6220 which is almost two years old and it has a 6 cell battery. The battery life on this thing is very poor. Today, i tried to see how long the battery life would last by just doing some light web surfing (forum whoring) and i am mad. First off, i check the battery meter and it says 3:30 min (95%) btw my screen brightness is the second lowest setting. Within 40 minutes the critical batter icon pops up! has anyone experienced the same problem? what can i do to increase battery life besides lowering my screen brightness?? any help would be appreciated

As you said, the battery is almost 2 yrs old and depending on your usage and care of the battery, its nearing the end of it's life, at least in terms of its ability to hold a charge. If you've used the battery extensively and charging it every other day - you'll have come to nearly 300 charge cycles and depending on the battery capacity, that will be end of the usefullness/usability of the battery in holding a good charge. Sounds like it's time for you to get a new battery.

Yes two years on a battery is a long time.

I would say replace a battery in a year or 1.5 if the battery is being used normally.
