First time poster here...what a great forum!
I'm shopping for a new notebook (my first non-Mac notebook) and have narrowed my choice down to a Fujitsu S2020 or C2230. I decided on these lovely units based partly on the positive reviews on this site, but I have a few questions before buying:
The specs on Fuji's Canadian site suggest that all of their models have shared video memory and I was told I need a video card for what we want to do with it (show powerpoint presentations with embedded video clips via a projector).
Can anyone verify if this is the case? The C2230 and S2020 both come with an ATI Mobility Radeon IGP340M with "selectable UMA video memory up to 128 MB". Is this enough video power, or am I better off looking for a machine with a separate 64 MB video card, a Radeon or some such?
Second, if shared video memory will work, do I need to have a certain amount of RAM for it to work properly?
Lastly, I want wireless functionality in the home and on the road. Is the Athlon in the S2020 going to be sufficient for my apps (MS Office, some games, Internet) or should I be aiming for a P4 mobility chip?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Anyone who tells you intergrated video can't handle PPT presents with video clips has no clue what they're talking about. My 5020D, which is one of the most underpowered notebooks out there, handles everything, including video, just fine. I'm a huge fan of the brand and think you can't miss with either of these units.

Thanks. That's good to hear, because I didn't want to move up to the weightier N-Series Fujitsu. What you say was also confirmed for me this afternoon by a small Fuji dealer I found in my hometown (Calgary). He said first-person games won't work too well with IGP, but promised the ppt's wouldn't be a problem. I guess it'll be all work, no play. [

OTOH, I assume the amount of RAM affects how well IGP works...If so, maybe I can boost the RAM so the games work ok (?).
Can you make a recommendation on my other question, re: P4 Mobile v. Athlon XP? Which is better for wireless connectivity, Office XP, photoshop, and general browsing? Or is there no discernable difference? -
Either processor will be fine, you just need to decide on more power or more battery life.
