1) Does anyone know if the battery is covered by the warranty if it stops working during the warranty term?
2) Best place to get laptop serviced in New York city (under warranty)?
Thanks!

Which warranty do you have? Typically if you have a three year warranty, the battery only has one year. If the battery is still under warranty, they'll just send you a new one. I would call Fujitsu tech support. I don't about a place to get your notebook fixed. It's been a while since I've been to NYC and I wasn't really looking to get my laptop fixed at the time.

I have the three year international warranty, having paid extra for the option of extedning the warranty for the additional two years. Thanks.

Even if the warranty on the machine is three years, the battery is almost always only one year since they start to degrade as soon as they are made. They'd probably have to replace the battery at least once on every machine if were three years. If it's been more than a year, you're probably going to have to replace it yourself.
