Hi guys,
i noticed some reception weakness with my Q 2010. I am in a hotel with wlan coverage, and thought the hotel had lousy coverage (i had overall low signal, and lot of drops. I called their IT-manager, he came and said that he wasn't having any connection problems with his laptop. He even showed me one laptop at the reception desk, it was some HP and was receiving 3 more APs then I was + having around 80% signal on the one i was barely able to connect to. I even updated my wlan drivers to the newest intel ones (11.x) but i still have bad signal in the hotel. Has anyone else noticed not so good wlan reception? Or is it any imcompatibility between my intel card (3945) and their APs (no idea which manufacturer) At my home and in the office, everything works fine, but then again, the signal strengths are much higher there. And my only comparison is a Macbook Pro, which due to the Al-cover it's not the best competitor anyway.
I tried to check the antenna connections, but didn't find them. The only 2 accesible slots are the HSDPA card and the HD (kudos to FSC for that because a SSD is on my list allready)![]()
Thanks,
Adrian
