Check out the P5020 and P1120. Both had nice vivid* screens. I noticed the P5020 left handrest was noticably, but not "unbareably" warm (vague reminder of the Dell D600 woes)

Overall, even though they are nearly the same size and weight, I prefer the P1120's form/weight factor..it just seems sturdier (not that the P5020 is a big slouch).

I was* expecting these Fujistus machines to have full magnesium allow cases, but was disappointed to find there were lots of expanses (particularly on the P5020) that were plastic.

I couldnt really compare the processor performance of these machines, but how do you guys feel about the Crusoe used in the P1120? Does it have enough power to multitask applications, including an HP scanner?

PS: Oh yea, hobbknobbing with [8]gangsters[xx(], foreigners[8)], and basically a cross section of the region was an interesting experince in a such unusually close social proximity. Also, it seemed I started fondling the P1120 a little TOO fondly, of which a salesman[} :)] did some weird trip on me that I was going to steal it, without stating it explicitly.[B)]

    Thanks,
    Neil

The 1100 just isn't a great fit for many people. As for CD, I think it's only an external option.

I love my 5020, but not so much to think it's right for everyone either. You just might be better suited with something larger. As for the wrist area getting hot...mine gets barely warm after 6 straight hours of use.

The P5020 only gets noticably warm when it's plugged in, which is the case when its displayed at Fry's. As for the Crusoe chip, wait for the Transmeta's next generation chip, Efficeon, if your interested in their stuff. Nvidia is developing a graphics card for them so it should be more interesting.

btw salesfolks at fry's are sometimes computer illiterate. i had one hawking over me after i tried to ask her a question in which she couldn't answer
