I am willing to buy a new notebook very soon. I am very concerned about the style and also the durability. I have narrowed my list down to three or four notebooks now, sony fe, ibm t60, toshiba tecra 7 and fujitsu n3530. I wonder what's the casing material for n3530? is it plastic? magnesium alloy? and I would appreciate if you comment on n3530. How would be its screen quality?

According to this thread the lid on the 3500 is magnesium alloy and the rest is abs plastic.

it seems that this is a quite hefty machine for a 15.4' laptop. It is 7.92 lbs !!??
    heavier than most 17' laptops

True enough, LOL. But I hear that is due to the fact that they are built like a tank. Very sturdy though not very portable.

Seen teh screen. Nice! But yeah its built really really heavy. That is the main reason why I have NOT bought it. Waiting for the E8210. Hopefully it comes out soon or I'll go buy the Mac book

This was almost the thing I was looking for. Great looks, very sturdy... But on the other hand 7.9 lbs !!?? that is kinda intolerable for a 15.4' laptop. I can't get it really, how fujitsu hopes to sell this thing...well, if only they can find a way to convert everyone into "hercule" :)

I think Fujitsu means for the N series to be DTRs more than portables.

Thats correct. Its really not that heavy though. Unless your like 12 years old. I carry it around quite often and its not that bad.
