i want one, i live in north america, specifically canada and i'm only interested in the FHD model with the 1920x1080 screen but the fujitsu US site only sells the HD+ 1600x1900 screen and the canadian site is just worthless, like every other multinational company's canadian websites.
i see it's available as a configurable option in europe, will it ever make to this side of the ocean and when?

I am picking one up this weekend at Niagara Computer Systems, in Virgil, Ontario ( related to the owner ). Not sure how customizable it is, other than ramping up the RAM. Can't wait to get my hands on it. They are getting it ready as we speak and say it's pretty sweet.
I live in Quebec and spoke to the Quebec and Eastern Canada distributor for Fujitsu - David Brown - 514-554-0359. He could maybe answer or question or direct you to another distributor. He knows his stuff and obviously knows where they stock the laptops. Good luck! -
Hey,
PM/email me the configuration and I'll see what can be done -
Nice to see a Canadian retailer at this level, even if you are in the frigid midwest.... -
This is our new website, still transferring the data and features from the old one. Even though you don't see Fujitsu products there yet, we have the access to most models. We have the E/P/S/T and soon will have the NH (including the FHD version). Just give us a lil time
If you know the exact model number or configuration, send it to me and I'll do my best to find it.
Regards -
Got the NH but not the FHD version yet - FPCR61391

I give up and will not consider an NH751 or Fujitsu as a purchase. After a year in retail I doubt we'll see the FHD display offered in North America. So now I have two different questions:
1) Why does it seem like Fujitsu treats the North American market like their personal dumping ground for their obsolescing/inferior tier products? I wouldn't ask this if the prices they were asking for their notebooks reflected this practice but Fujitsu seems to think what they're currently offering here commands a premium on par with other manufacturers. USB 2.0? Max 1600x900 displays on a 17" desktop replacement when you offer better elsewhere? Seriously? Just $1250? haha gtfo.
2) I always thought the North American market for computers/laptops would be at least as competitive as it is everywhere else in the world. And one would think a company that doesn't have the same presence/sales volume as other more popular makes here would put their best foot forward and offer their best at a competitive price. Does Fushiatsu honestly believe their rep/sales share will improve here with their middling/crappy offerings in North America? Do they even care? -

2) See number 1.
I work for Fujitsu, part of their IT solutions team. I can first say that their laptop/desktop side of things is not their money maker. They make all sorts of things. Its much like Samsung, they don't offer many laptops and what they do offer is lack-luster to say the least.
Fujitsu is the 3rd worlds largest IT service solutions provider in the world. That does not come cheap by any means. The client I work for is a global company as well.
I am wanting a Fujitsu Ultrabook as well. But I will wait to see if a friend that is over sea's can get me one.
You just have to understand, not every company makes money selling to Americans.....and vis-versa. You think politics (yes your government) does not have anything to do with who imports and exports? -
Your car analogy is crap. No matter how hard you try to shoehorn it into Fujitsu's situation, it doesn't make any sense.
You obviously place the blame squarely on the government's shoulders. Can you produce a citation or point me in the direction of any sort of legislation or agreement signed between Fujitsu and either the Canadian or US governments that for some reason allows them to retail here, but just their lower tiered, obsolescing products? -
I own NH751 since May 2011. If build quality is important to you I suggest to steer clear of it. Everything else including their CS is excellent.

Within Japan proper, Fujitsu notebooks are extremely popular and highly competitive. The Japanese version of the NH751 even has a built-in TV tuner! But outside Japan, Fujitsu's efforts to sell their notebooks are lackluster at best. As a notebook manufacturer, Fujitsu is very interesting. If you look at its line-up closely enough, it is evident that it is fighting a two-front war against the Lenovo ThinkPad on the one side, and the Sony VAIO on the other. But Fujitsu's marketing, if there is any marketing at all, has always been very low-profile, and attempts at advertising are half-hearted as well.
Fujitsu notebooks are excellent, but the Fujitsu people just don't care much about any market outside Japan. -

You made me realize why I did not want to quote you and reply. It hurt to make this reply.
Have a wonderful day.
