Who leaves the brightness on their S6231 highest at all times? Also S6240 rant!

Just wondering if you guys do the same. For some reason when I'm working on things I just love the brightness of this CV screen. Even when I show movies or slideshows to friends/coworkers I keep it up all the time.

Battery issue is not really an issue for me seeing that I'm always around an AC outlet. Just wanna hear your guys inputs and what you prefer!

BTW...I don't care much for the new S6240. I always love the metallic look on the laptop...it just feels new-age!! I don't really care for one that's all BLACK like the IBM's...so plain and old looking for me! Those are my two cents~

I use my P7000 on full brightness all the time. As for the black, mine's black, I dig it.

On AC I leave my S6241 set at full brightness. On battery I usually have it set at about 50%, but change it depending on the setting. The screen on it almost always generates questions when I'm on the road!

    I kept mine on full.
Are you concern about the long term effect that in couple of years later, the color saturation of the dots might be fading fast?

I usually leave it max all the time. I think the screen is one of the best parts of the whole laptop!!

On battery, I'll usually use a white background desktop and cut screen brightness way back!

i've been waiting for a replacement for the S62xx series. my initial thoughts were 'wow, this thing is freaking sexy'. =) this notebook uses the more potent centrino sonoma technology if i'm not mistakened.

I have a s7020d... but how do you make the brightness automatically change if its on battery. I just manually adjust it with the Fn key.
