I've just had a little idea spring to mind. I hope it hasn't been done before and that no one will get mad at me doing this.

    Here's the idea.

Every laptop manufacturer/brand has something unique about it. Each have their advantages and disadvantages, and their fanbase. Something must draw the fans to this brand or that, and I'd like to know what.

So I'm gonna post a thread like this in the forums dedicated to each of the major manufacturers (i.e. the ones who have the most active forums).

I welcome everyone (especially the fans of the particular brand) to post what is it that they like about these laptops. Any reasons are welcome - from features and performance to price and family traditions.

Of course, you can also post things that you don't like.

So, why do you like Fujitsu?

My first buy into a category is generally the el cheapo. I use that to decide what features are important to me, then I replace the el cheapo with a best of breed. In regard to notebooks, I looked fearcely at everything, quickly finding one feature that would disqualify it. IBM X and T series were still in the running right before I bought the Fujitsu, but IBM was too expensive. I am very happy with my 6231 and I don't see anything on the market currently that tops it.

everybody is always like what the **** is that?

and then they say omg the screen! the beautiful screen! then they shoot there dell in it's face.

then you tell them about the dual hd support then they cry and threaten to hurt themselves and loved ones.

    for the boring list:

    great quality, great great great

in my opinion very pretty n2610 anyway, i love the black on silver and that shiny power button :)

plus who do you know that has a Fujitsu?

I like them because they are elegant in design, and the screen quality is second to none. Every where I go, people come over just to look at my N3510's screen. :)

That is, when it's not malfunctioning. :-( lol

I have had to send my systems in numerous times for repairs, but overall they are great Laptops. So far, all my issues have been addressed by Fujitsu care.

They produce good value powerful laptops at good prices.

My Amilo A1630 has an Athlon 64 processor and widescreen display and a fairly decent MR9700 128mb graphics card. Great for all my needs for £750.

Fujitsu is one of those companies that seems to be doing their homework when it comes to customer satisfaction.

What I mean by customer satisfaction --- great battery life, great screens, solid build quality, solid features, and good customer support.

Not gunged up with tons of extra "trial versions" of software to delete..fabulous screen (just moved to a tiny Japanese apartment and it's my main DVD viewer)....so far perfect reliabilty and great build quality, seems like it'll last far beyond its obsolescence...great sound for a laptop...and I think it's a gorgeous machine.

And but one from P1, without a doubt.
