    Why doesn't S62xx series come with 5400 rpm HDD??

    I notice that all the S62XX lifebooks are having 4200rpm HDD. Why? Is it because of heat problem if they use 5400rpm or higher? Furthermore, 5400rpm HDD isn't that expensive now anyway.

    I won't be surprised if it's because of heat problem because it seems to me that all the S62xx lifebooks feel very warm on the keypad (esp. near the HDD area) and they are HOT underneath.

    Any comments??

    4200RPM drives are very common, they're the most widely used notbooks drives on the market. You can upgrade or buy from someone like PortableOne who offers the upgrade. There is not a heat issue associated with these drives.
