    Hey...

Just a quick question... I was wondering how you guys find the S series range a bit weak?
My S6120BT didnt catch my router signal 20 meters away, wheres an IBM with external was receiving with good signal about 60 meters away. Its the external vs. internal, but still for a centrino, I wasn't impressed with the range...

    Anyone else noticed this?

It really depends on what type of area you are in, and if you are going to run off the battery, the Wifi protocol on the S6210 will automatically switch from high transmission power to low transmission power. Have you tried changing the settings on the Wifi? See if that makes any kind of difference.

What more do I need for this thing?

my s6220 seems to get better wireless than most people's laptops in the office. but it does depend on power scheme. anyway, i never found cause for complaint.

you should get the same range since it is just a part and all other brands use the same card almost.

its like saying my toshiba HDD performs better then the same toshiba harddrive in the toshiba laptop?
