    Hello,

is it possible to install and run Windows 7 on Lifebook S6120D (2GB RAM, 80GB disk 5400 rpm)? Are there drivers? If yes, is it reasonably fast, usable?

    Thank you.

I have a very similary speced Dell D610 (Pentium M processor, 2 GIG RAM, 80 GIG 7200 RPM hard drive, got it in 2005) . I created a partition and dual booted 7 with vista and it was 'useable'. I had to do some tweaking, and the boot time was very slow (as expected) but I eventually dumped Win 7 and got a the new computer in my signature. If you have great patience you may be happy. Once windows 7 was up and running on the desktop ..about 3 minutes it was usable but not good at all for multi-tasking.
From what I have ready win 8 is better than 7 As far as running on legacy hardware so I would not recommend buying 7 at this point.
