    Hey

i just got the S6231 a few weeks ago. just the last week or two i noticed a little discoloration when i was typing on Word. it seems to be only noticeable when the screen is white. for a while i thought it was just a finger print or smudge but its not. when the screen is white the spot is a shade lighter. i can still see it if the screen is black but not as noticeable. i just went into paint and experimented with different colors and i can see it with most colors. but its more noticeable with lighter colors. the size of the spot is a little smaller than a pinkie fingerprint but it is noticeable.

i don't remember if it was there when i first turned on the computer. i haven't been doing much typing on word till a week and a half ago. is this considered a defect? can this get worse? covered under the regular warranty?

    thanks a lot

i ordered from portable one by the way

Well, it is a defect, but being covered is another question. I doubt it will get worse, but depending on its size, those issues are really annoying. I'd contact whoever you bought it from and discuss your options. You will have to part with it for a display replacement.

I am having the same issue with my C2330! Fujitsu has agreed it's a defect, and so has P1. P1 has offered to replace the LCD for me, which I will take them up on.

I am still having Fujitsu contact me about it. I am going to see if they wont have it sent to their official repair center. I have already sent several letters to them. I am not impressed by this level of "quality" my Fujitsu LCD has.

I bought Fujitsu because it's main feature is quality, not quantity. I could have gotten a much faster system for less money if I didn't care about quality of brand.
