well everytime I type my mouse cursor seems to jump to another place and I end up typing over something. anyway that I can control my mouse cursor so that it won't move around while i am typing. I find it so fustrating when trying to type up something that requires alot of time!

    anyone with this problem?

are you disabling the pad (Fn+F4) just to make sure you are not accidentally touching it with your palm?

I've had this happen to me a few times with my s6231 but I dob't know what is causing it.

I thought it was just a problem on my end.

Are you using ALPS device? If you are, there's a setting that delays the mouse pad while you type.

ALPS is the manufacturer of your touchpad. You can find that from the Hardware device manager of windows XP.

+ in the settings for the mouse/touchpad in control panel there is an option to have the pad disable once a usb mouse is plugged in. That might be helpful depending on your usage.

    You're welcome.

You can also set the mouse pad to turn off while typing and turn on X seconds after last key is pressed. I tried that, but found it kind of annoying. I it easiest to just use good form and not hit the mouse pad ;)
