I just got my fujitsu laptop yesterday. I ordered it from fujitsu website because I found the Port1 (?) cannot customize it. Maybe I didn't find the right place.
I am considering buying a small laptop for a long time because my current Toshiba is too big. I want to have a small and light laptop, but with higher speed because I programmed sometime and did some web design from time to time, also some statistics software.. I looked at all the small laptops available in the stores around me but failed to find a suitable one for me. The main problem is the processor of small laptops is not very fast. I hope I can get one at least 1.5ghz.
I picked Fujitsu because my friend from Japan told me it is really a good brand. He is the one telling me sony has some compatibility problem, and it turns out true for some of my sony products. And sony is far too expensive, and also with lower processor than fujitsu. I decided to buy fujitsu when the 1.7 ghz is available from this July.
The custom service is quite good. The only problem is it took half of month for me to get it. They told me it was assembled in japan and has to been shipped from there. So I waited almost 20 days after I placed the order.
I chose 40 gb hard drive because it offers fast speed 5400rmp. And I have another desktop which has 120 GB, therefore size of the hard drive is not a big issue for me.
I got the laptop two days ago, so far I am satisfied with it. It is light, and it is not tiny, which is better for my eyes. The speed is good and the battery lasts more than 4 hours. The wireless is good to use.
The only question I have is why fujitsu doesn't offer store purchase in the States? [8D]
