This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     can't change powerschemes and they were all deleted?

    Just like the title says i can not adjust power schemes, and all of them were deleted. I am not sure why or how this happened but i would like to fix it. any ideas?

    Why the heck did you delete them? You can create new ones, do you want the default settings?

    i didn't delete them, they are just gone, im serious it is rediculous. i can't create new ones either and i can't adjust any settings

    system restore is a no go, i have that turned off

    If it was me, I'd save all my data and reinstall windows.

    on line 204 of this site, on the right is a registryedit that restores all the default powerschemes of your system, right click save as, run the regedit and have the problem instantly fixed in 2 seconds, that website is a god among win xp fixes

    that site should really be stickied or something, so helpful for alot of different problems that could occur.
