    fujitsu vs hp

    since this is the fujitsu board and feedback may be a bit bias. i am still going to ask anyways. which is more better for the money? spending extra for a fujitsu or settling with an hp? now in terms of use. it'll primarily be used for school, browsing, and light games.

    do you have any specific model in mind? there are many Fujitsus and HPs in various sizes..sometimes the build of one may not be as good as the build of another model..

    Generally you'll find the build quality, support and displays of Fujitsu to be superior to HP. That's not bias, it's measurable fact.

    but brian which will last longer less likely to die on you. the hp will last longer under ordinary use.

    the chemist, the hp will last longer under ordinary use? what do you mean by that? so the fujitsu wont last as long? i dont get it. please clarify.

    Not to be a jerk Brian, but is the superiority in quality really measureable? I believe that fujitsu build quality is superior to hp, having held seen models from each company. The guy in the cube across from me got an HP zv4000 6months or a year before I got my N5010, which is a year old now. We both lug our laptops from home to lab every day, we both run cpu intensive modeling programs and write papers etc, and neither of us have had problems yet.

    Fujitsu LifeBook® notebooks are some of the most reliable in the industry, according to the newly released 17th Annual Reader Satisfaction Survey published by PC Magazine. Fujitsu captured the highest reliability score among all Windows-based notebooks, tying IBM, and had the lowest percentage of notebooks needing repairs.

    The magazine surveyed more than 8,000 readers, asking them to describe their experiences with desktops, notebooks and servers that they use at home and at work. Leading notebook vendors, including Apple, Dell, IBM, Hewlett-Packard and Toshiba, were represented.

    I don't get why Fujitsu don't use such surveys and good user feedback to market themselves better here in the US. I mean sager do a better job marketing. No offense to sager, but it is just that they target a limited market (notebook gamers). While Fujitsu's products target such a wide users group (almost all notebook users) and yet they don't bother!
    No clue why!

    I would have never thought of getting a Fujitsu if it weren't for this site, hell I didn't even know they had a fully fledged branch here in the US with full customer support!

    There was one other recently where Fujitsu scored very well but I couldn't dig it up. Fujitsu is consistently at the top of ratings, which is why we love them so.
