    Hello all,

I have noticed that my Amilo M 1420's fan is making much more noise than it did when I bought. And also the fan kicks in within a minute after I switch it on. The noise in unbarable, sounds like a vacuum cleaner at a distant!

I used "DTemp" software to determine the temperature the laptop reaches. It stays inbetween 43-45 C on normal web surfing and reaches upto 50 C when working with Photoshop and Flash.

    Can anybody help?

    Thanks in advance

make sure that the notebook has enough ventilation, if it's in your lap or resting on carpet (or any non-hard surface) this will make it hard for the notebook to vent out the hot air. You could also look into buying a notebook cooling pad. Could also be that your fan is not working properly because it has been damaged.

Its always placed on my table when it gets really warm.

Any nice cooling pads you would suggest?

As for the fan, yes I have noticed that it does not release much air compared to when I had bought the laptop. I guess I will have to send it to the company.

Do you think Fujitsu will accept the repair knowing that I have a year interntional warranty on my AMILO and also that they do not have these models here?

Give them a call, Fujitsu is pretty accomodating.
