    hi all
    iam from india and i was recently bought a s6210 512m 60g s m dvd+-rw xph from us thru my syster (she is in se - wa)it was purchaged from fry,s and that costs $1749.99 +$154(sales tax)=$1903.99 but my dought is any online store is not adding sale tax for wa state but fry,s is lossed me for $154 (i think) any one can clarify me please.

    i just got mine too.. but no dvd -+rw and only 256mb ram... but i got a steal for it.. $1375 from newegg..

    Are you asking if you should have paid sales tax? If Fry's has a store in WA, then yes.

    yes i was purchased it in Fry's WA, and they collected salestax (8.8%)

    Stores charge sales tax, now the reason online stores dont is that they are not supposed to charge sales tax to buyers out of state...BUT i you buy an item from out of state and do NOT get charged sales tax, you are supposed to file some sort of use tax form from your state and pay taxes on it that way.
