My n5010 (on AC power) benchmarked at 2810 mips using pcpitstop.com "Full Test" mode.
Average for the 3.2 Ghz cpu with 1 gig of memory is around 4700 mips.
I have the laptop set up as a "desktop" and I've stopped most of the unnessary startups. However, I can't get the mips up any higher than 2810.
Is this low mips benchmark normal for the Fujitsu n5010?

Unfortunately I don't have a solution, only a similar problem. I have the n6010 and to get Super Pi to 2 million decimal places (sorry, no mips), it takes 2:58! I've tried a lot of different settings and power schemes.
I'd like to think that it's something stupidly obvious... Anyone? -
my n5010 took 2:35 to get to 2M on super pi. What gives? I tried shutting down a bunch of things that were running, but to no avail. The time actually increased! As for the pcpitstop, I advised jnorton by email to avoid that joint. Notice that they are pushing software to solve the problems they find. I tried sisoftsandra and find that my hardware performs nearly identically to the equivalent reference system supplied by sisoft sandra.
