just ordered a S2110 from Newegg. Had a 150.00 rebate so went for it. Wanted to upgrade it beforehand but I guess I can have fun doing that later.
I See that I can get a factory screen protection warranty. How many of you have damaged, broken ,dropped, run over, or spit-up on your fujitsus, and had to replace the screens?
Think the protection is a good idea?
This is my first laptop. Never worried about dropping the desktop. So I'm in new territory here.

if you bought from newegg i suggest you get some type of warrenty. their return policy is null and void. if you have a problem with your laptop they will tell you to call fujitsu.

YUP, that sound terrible when you consider I got a screen replacement just for 2 stuck pixels. No questions asked, and not a penny spent (not even shippment).

But getting that warranty is just like wasting away all that you have saved by buying from newegg instead of P1! ... and I am not really sure what that policy exactly covers, and if it covers just a few dead pixels that are already there from the begining. You might want to check the policy's terms before you invest in it.

Maybe an extended warranty might be a better idea. Not sure thou! Personally I just stuck with the normal 1 year, and hope nothing extraordinarly wrong happens, afterall I still have an almost 5 year old laptop running in prime condition :)

Plus I think P1 will check for dead pixels before shipping it off.

They will...I'd never buy a notebook from NE unless the deal was too good to pass up. Geggle, I'm sure you'll be fine, but there's a good deal of risk when buying from them.
