    Hi everyone.
I have got an yrgent question: is Fujitsu LifeBook E8110 T5500/1G/80G with Intel Core 2 Duo 64bit for AUS$2000 a good deal for money?
I want to use my laptop for some video editing and I am not sure if it has a video memory inbuilt? If not, can you buy a separate graphics card of say 256mb and do the job?

I was told that I can buy an external graphics card and plug it into USB or firewire and it is the same like having an inbuilt one. Is that correct? Now for the same price I could get a MacBook with 1G/60G. Which one do you think is a better value for money? I can get programes from a friend that's not an issue. Please can someone voice their opinions because I have to decide by tomorrow. Many Thanks.

Once you have a notebook graphics card you are stuck with that card, there is no upgrading. No USB device I have heard of thus far can increase your GPU. There are RAM supplements that can be plugged into your USB but thats about it. There are obviously other USB devices but I mean in relation to GPU. I'm in the US so I'm not sure what the currency rate difference is but the Core 2 Duo is a great processor, basically the best for notebooks at this point in time. Fijitsu also makes quality notebooks, which is more than I can say for some Mapples. I would suggest you to either wait for the MAC Core 2 Duo or get the Fijitsu. That is if you have your heart set on one or the other.

I hate to say this because I despise Apple however, I don't know what kind of GPU you have with the Fijitsu, so I'm going to have to say Macbook, after some thought and consideration.
