today i took my laptop to the library and the screen started glitching and jumping around and eventually just went black. i restarted my laptop a few times until the problem stopped. it worked fine for about 4 hours while i was working on it. when i went back home the problem started again. the screen gets all messed up when the windows screen and desktop are loading. do any of you know what the problem could be?

i got this laptop over the past summer, june to be exact, so it should still be under warranty. however, its finals week and ive got a bunch of papers on this computer that i need and simply do not have the time right now to send it in and wait. i thought it could be something concerning my video card or it could be my computer overheating. i noticed today that i was running a little quieter than usual and i dont feel any sort of air coming from the bottom, but i also dont feel it getting hot at all. i tried opening the back up but it seems as if the panels wont budge even after i take off all the screws. does anyone have any quick advice concerning this problem?

Some people had simillar problems with the N6010 and turned out to be screen related, and was resolved by a part exchange (cannot remember what). So I guess your only option is sending it back in.

Did you originally get it from P1? If so call them. They could probably determine if this is the problem over the phone.

    Edit: (Post merge)
Here is a link to a thread where someone had sort of a simillar problem

I carry my N6010 and bounce it around quite a bit (with a couple of drops while it was in bag), and it has been perfect for a year now. Most probably your problem is just due to a component failure and nothing to do with moving around too often

Hopefully it will be a quick repair!

is there any way i can contact ivan from p1? i hear his name pop up alot around here. i called p1 just now and the tech didnt seem to be very helpful. he basically told me to call fujitsu. i told him that i read off this forum that this problem has happened before with the fujitsu n6000 series, but he had no idea what it was. he just said if it keeps occuring then call fujitsu.

It could be a bad inverter. Because this N6 line uses 2 lamps, it has 2 inverters inside the monitor. The possibility the inverter failing is quite high. I had the N6010 and I had to get the inverter changed a few weeks ago. At the repair dealer, they said there was another N6010 that came in a few months ago that had the same problem.

You should call Fujitsu and see if they will fix it soon. It only takes them about an hour to replace the inverter, but waiting for a new inverter could be a week.
