I now have a ultra-thin Matsua UJ-852S DVD writer, which I would like to replace with something that works with SlySoft AnyDVD. Any ideas?

There's not many super slim drives. The only other I can think of is LG, which I know Lenovo uses in some ThinkPads, but I can't remember the model number off hand. What are you doing with AnyDVD? Perhaps there's another solution.

Thanks! All I know is that the Matsua DVD drives are in the thin and light Sony VAIO and Fujitsu Lifebook models. AnyDVD doesn't work on these, though it works on everything else. I don't want to risk a firmware hack, as this might make the drive unusable. I've bought a 9.5mm LG drive off eBay, and will see how this works.
