    s2110 heat/fan

    exploring my new s2110
    all good except i notice quite a bit of heat... and frequent fan turning on and fan noise is fairly noisy...
    i was wondering if thats normal and expected
    any owners of s2110 please let me know if this is the case w/ ur laptop as well... or any other input will be greatly appreciated

    Check out our review, I don't think the reviewer saw that much noise.

    I keep hearing a lot about fan noise on the S2110. Its a shame - seems a great value otherwise...

    When I reviewed the s2110, I felt some areas did get warm, but never too hot, particularly where the hard drive was.

    I did feel that the fan did turn on frequently which was somewhat of a negative.

    I think what you are experiencing is expected.

    the fan noise is noticeable only when u start the comp...for some reason, the fan runs at full speed for 1-2 secs, slows down to an intermediate speed for then next 2-3 secs, and then falls back to a completely silent speed....
    I am not sure if what u r experiencing is expected
