does anyone know if you get the upgrade to the 7k60, if the hard drive is a Hitachi Travelstar? i can get a Hitachi Travelstar 7k60 for $179 on pricegrabber, or i can get an upgrade for $150 from P1, but i don't know the brand or quality of P1's 7k60. for those who have selected the upgrade from P1--is the hard drive a Hitachi? if so, will they always be a Hitachi? or will they change it up with random 7k60's? thx for your time. i'm very close to buying now :). i think i will get 2 1GB pc2700 KingMax sticks of RAM for $200 each.

    Edit: ordered everything today!! woohoo!

I got the S6210 from portableone with the 7k60 drive. Mine is the hitachi travelstar, and I assume yours will be too.

well, i ended up ordering the Hitachi Travelstar 7k60 separately anyway. i figure i can stick the 5k40 that comes with my s6220 into my Averatec 3150H, which onl has a 30 GB 4200 hard drive. switching that out should be easy too, right?

Yeah...just a little bit of a hassle to start all over with the OS install, etc. You might also consider getting an external casing for it and use it for storage/backup for both machines.
