I have 2 trojans which cannot be removed by avg 7.5 because they are in the archives. Is this because of the limited scope of the avg free edition or is it possible to fix this problem with a specialist trojan remover of some kind? or a better security program?

They were attached to a program i d/l sometime ago a win zip/rar/ace p2p file with a keygen to activate the free versions permanently.

I take it that even if i uninstall all these programs, and delete all associated parts that the trojans will still be there??

    Any advice greatly appreciated

Try specialized trojan remover to see if that helps first.

Serves you right. I've heard enough...thread closed.

Best way to get rid of this is to reinstall the entire OS.
