My 3+ yr old fujitsu lifebook c series laptop's screen flicker's every few minutes. Sometimes it becomes very bright or dull. This started since yesterday. It has been a good laptop. I hope it survives till i find a good deal for new laptop.
I haven't moved it around, usually it sits at one location always connected to external power as the battery is low. And is usually kept on for days.
When it was new it did survived few drops, only the front media panel was damaged.

Is this indication that screen is going to die soon.

Now the screen is total dark I would say no light leakage.....it looks like as if it has 20 anti-glare + privacy screen filters on it. If you look at the screen from 2 feet away you will think that the laptop is off...only from 6-8 inch distance you can see something. I don't have any external monitor to try and see if that works.
