Hi, I've had my n6410 a week now and on 4 occasions my n6410 booted up with no sound card installed. This happened twice while rebooting during software installations and twice from just turning it on. The 4th time was just now. I did go to all programs - volume control but when I clicked on it it said something about it not being available.

I also noticed that my battery was depleted down to 86% since shutting it down last night at about 8:30pm, it's now 7:45 am. I did shut down last night not standby. Now maybe normal since this laptop has a light indicator above the keyboard and my other one didn't and this is normal.

I'm more concerned about the sound issue, I never had an issue with my computers booting up without the sound.

Maybe see if there is an updated driver for the sound card on the notebook maker's web site.

I'll did that just a few days ago and the Fujitsu Driver Update software is in my startup and runs in the background. I know this could be just a fluke but just if this is a problem I could take it back. A pain in the a$$ but worth it if there is something wrong with the unit.

Ah well, yes, take it back ... for an equal exchange if you really like that unit. The problem might just rear its ugly head when the return period is over.

I downloaded the most current driver from the RealTek site. That is where the most current driver is located.
