    that's cool, a screen which compensates - properly - for sunlight.. i wonder how long before those start showing up in notebooks

    There's a niche market for outdoor screens on notebooks for sure, but for the mass market we're mostly sitting at our desks and will not want to have to use a screen that needs to reflect light in order to display properly, backlighting is king for such indoor conditions. It'd be sweet to have a screen that operates well both indoors and outdoors though. Heck, I'd love to go out on my apartment balcony and work in the sunlight on a nice day.
