why m1437g screen is more clear than m3438g ?

i want yesterday to computer store to compare between them and i found the m3438g screen fuzzy and its was so bad
but m1437g screen is very clear and very nice (i love it !!!)

is this true ?is 15inc WXGA is better than 17 WXGA ?

dose m3438g in computer store need to adjust the screen settings?
because i found that the m3438g was in 1024*768 and cant found the orginal 1440 x 900 in (display properties )

The display may have been at the wrong resolution or it could have been damaged.

you're saying it was at 1024x768. A 17" WXGA should be at 1440x900 as you stated (like mine). And so when you run it at a lower resolution the display will be stretched and compensated for and appear blurry. Same on mine which is super sharp, will turn very ugly using none native resolution. But I have an option to switch off compensation (not sure if this was available on the one you saw), and instead I'll just get a 1024x768 window within my screen (black borders from all sides)

They use same featured crystal screen. So it cannot be a difference in same category nbooks. I have tested both of them and never seen a difference.

    hello guys,

well dabs in the uk decided to send me the wrong speck but still got a base one to try it out before it gets sent back

    first off-

the screen is crapo to start with its like stand a lone LG TFT`s they need time to warm up had this sreen on now for about three days now and its deffo getting better each day but the big thing that many will notice is the lack of color and no matter which driver users of the M 3438 G use it still gives crap color retentions but wait what happens if you use "coolbits" to tweek the nivida drivers?

well first you find you can change the gamma to something all together better

once you get to the clock speed you suddenly relise all that great grafics was only running on a default 2D setting and a core of 100 MHz and memory running at 200 MHz if you then change this to manual settings and change the drop down from 2D to 3D the the core on mine went to 325 MHz core and a stock 600 MHz memory speed

setting this to optimal settings see`s a stable running video card of a core of 375 MHz and a memory speed of 697 MHz

and the 17 inch screen is just wonderfull at these settings!

    best regsrds,
