Finally there are high wattage models in my country. To be more specific the ASUS Scar 17". Both 3070 and 3080 versions.
But I don't know which one to get. Both models are the same chassis and display QHD, even component wattage is the same. Only differences are GPU models. And RAM (3070 16gb/3080 32gb).
I do a lot of flight simulation and moderate gaming.
I also use Unreal Engine/Blender/Phostoshop for my daily work.
The price difference is around 900-1000 dollars. Is it worth paying that for the 3080 and the extra 8gb VRAM?

if the wattage of the 3080 is 150w then I say its worth it, otherwise no....do not go for it.

You've got up to 140 with the 70 and 165 with the 80; I would want most or all of it whichever way I went. On the one hand there are equally compelling 3080 choices from other vendors at similar pricing that will give you more power. The 3070 on the other hand is more competitive at it's price. With a 1k price differential between two laptops it seems like it might be helpful to step back and define your budget and buying criteria.

Lest you really need to bleed every ounce of power for work, go with the 3070.

As for the 120Hz screen, I'm told it has a high response time. I have the control panel set to a limit of 40fps, so I don't notice it.

$1000~ difference between 3070 (130W/8GB) and 3080 (130W/16GB) worth it?
