this real? lol
-
yup as real as it get. Funny how on twitter after Asder's post, Catalyst creator show up with 13.1.
-
It is recommended to not install these, these are not ready to be leaked. If you don't play the following games in DX9 don't bother, Borderlands 2, Skyrim and Guild Wars 2. But again, AMD has already stated, 13.2 leak is not ready for use, and recommended not to be used. But do what you will. These do not have the memory controller rewrite. These are just driver adjustments for those 3 games.
Also not leaked by Asder, these were leaked on Overclock.net. And Asder did not upload the 13.1, AMD did... 13.1 was not leaked by Asder, just saying. -
asder was my source for the link. I never said he distributed/leaked them. The WHQL driver is obviously official. Every beta is classified as not recommended, it's nothing new.
-
That's not true at all. 12.11 betas were all officially released and often if they release a beta that is newer than WHQL, CatalystCreator will tweet, he recommends using the beta.
The 13.2 are probably more Alpha than beta, and if anything in-house testing.
That means when the official 13.2 beta is actually released, they could be very different from the leaked.
Liked I said, do what you will. But for others, no, this beta is NOT like other betas and AMD specifically said, do not install them.
Those 13.2 that were leaked only had one goal. To demonstrate to Tech Report that AMD is in fact working on the frame latency issues and demonstrated that with those 3 games. This driver does not mean it has any stability or performance boosts for those 3 games or ANY game. So personally, I'd just wait for the OFFICIAL 13.2 beta released next week or so. -
Ok thanks for that! I'll retract my last generalization statement. But it's almost by usual convention that the regular end user is pushed to final releases as opposed to betas, and in that there is no question. But then again you stated the newer memory controller interface code is not yet in place, so I don't see it as an 'alpha' except in your nomenclature of it. But that's just my opinion.
People ofcourse, as you stated, are free to try what is being made available to them, at their own risk. For the record, I've currently flashed this driver on my 7970M. All is well so far.. I'm about to conduct further testing of the same.
-
In case no one saw this, and need it spelled out clearer.
-
they suck anyways so who cares. I had my own tweaked drivers and was getting 23-36fps then I installed these and was getting 16-24fps
-
And here is the review of this driver (Pretty good results)
A driver update to reduce Radeon frame times - The Tech Report - Page 1 -
Is these results only for HD7000 (GCN) series? Or TeraScale (HD5000,HD6000) too.. missed that info.
-
So here is my problem
Alienware m17x r4
stock -> 12.10 doenst install
stock -> 12.11 beta does
stock -> 12.11 -> 13.1 doesnt install
stock -> 12.11 -> 13.2 beta does
I think i might have a beta only 7970m.
Anyway, these drivers are brilliant for Borderlands 2 and Skyrim, no more variation in frames, just flat out 60! -
Have you tried the drivers over @ http://benchmark3d.com/ ?
-
I would if the download was faster than ETA: 7days
-
Lol
10char -
i've been using this new driver for 2-3 days now and have not come to any problem or issue so far.
-
Likewise. Also, I've seen a noticeable performance improvement overall in BF3, coming from 12.11 Beta11.
-
Likewise, no problems here using 13.2
-
From the look of what you posted, too many features were disabled or reduced. Next time when you post something I suggest you include the core clock/mem clock to the OSD and a before/after screenshot back to back, it was quite confusing reading your posts about the FPS incease info.
-
Sounds like some untapped power!
Not gonna test them but wait for some more stable version
-
13.1 is pretty good vantage went up 50 points and games run .5fps faster..most importantly its stable and no black boxes in far cry 3
-
These drivers work well except for the bsod on startup.

Compared to what? Which driver were you using before you upgraded?
