thank you so much goodbytes![]()
seems like i wont overclock my gpu.
it is a notebook has a non-replace-able gpu.if it is dead your notebook is dead too.
i am looking for more cooling solutions.i have done undervolt bought a cooler and cleaned my lappy everything is fine.
but one question more how can i control my notebooks fan?
i want to spin it in it's full speed because even games it spins half my cpu is usually in a good temperture but my gpu is 70-80 which could be lover.
i tried speed fan but it did not work out.
does anyone have a program to control the notebook's fan speed.

What are your idle temperatures?
You COULD try Nvidia system tools, which is the tool to overclock your GPU if you want, but what is intresting is within the overclock profile section, you have a speed fan control. If your GPU is on separate heatsink than your CPU and motherboard northbridge, then it MAY work. It's worth a try, and you don't have to overclock anything to access it. -
I just wanted to say this program is awesome and it works for Windows 7 Pro on my E6500 with the 160M. I hate how without this program, whenever you move a window it's laggy until the GPU steps up!

@gauden44
I have the same issue with my E6400. which settings do I have to take in order to have smooth windows-transition but the GPU still able to downclock? -

I'm having some problems with NV gpu pro 2 build 629. My driver version is 195.81. When trying to change the powermizer settings so that powermizer is disabled while only plugged, only two options are avaliable: enable always or disable always. In addition to this, NVgpupro2 does not detect my driver version. I've tried reinstalling the nvidia drivers several times however nothing changed.
Any thoughts or solutions? -
What is your graphic card, is it the Quadro FX770 that I see in your signature? Perhaps I did a coding error somewhere in my detection system. -
I've got a quadrofx770. nvgpupro used to work just fine until I installed the 195 series graphics driver. Previously I was using 186

Well it's been some time, since a new release was done for Nv GPU Pro. On this beutiful day, I am exited to present you with a new release of Nv GPU Pro, and updated website!
Nv GPU Pro 2.1 Build 107 Feature cool new features!
What's new?
- Multiple GPU system support (up to 2).
If your system has 2 Nvidia graphic cards, you can tweak both of them individually to best fit your needs.
- 196 and 197 driver series support.
- View Windows Experience Index (WEI) benchmark details (Vista/Win7)
You can now view the detail benchmark scoring of Windows Experience Index providing more meaning to the WEI score. The scoring information can be saved and printed to help comparing drivers or for quick overclock benchmark.
Here is an example. This feature is ALSO available from Nv GPU Pro, even on systems that does NOT have an Nvidia graphic card.
- Check for update
This feature will inform you of new beta and official releases with a simple mouse click.
- New backup and restore system.
This improved feature backups the entire driver configuration including your game profiles set in the Nvidia Control Panel to help you restore these after a Windows re-installation, or system transfer.
- Improved system scanning system.
Now caches system scans in itself for faster scanning at next run. The system is smart enough to detect if Nv GPU Pro has changed systems from where it will execute a full scanning, and re-caching. Making it ideal as a portable application (works on USB memory stick and disks directly from them).
and more!

- see all their contributions to Nv GPU Pro, easily access to beta, release candidate, and archive sections.
- Choose if they want or not to show their contribution publicly with additional privacy features linked to this (show name or custom nickname, show/hide contribution)
- Decide if they want to receive e-mail notification on new release of Nv GPU Pro.
- And, In addition to all this, contributors can finally change their passwords to what they like.
For my contributors, an e-mail notification and information about the new system will be sent to you tomorrow.

When downloading the latest version of the Tool my Antivirus Software (FREEAV) reports a virus infection of the file with virus TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen
-
In this case, some anti-virus don't like full package exe. As having multiple files in 1 files is uncommon, and it's not a zip file or something, but rather a executable, it looks suspicious and alert as being a trojan.
Good anti-virus actually analyze the files internals and really detect virus. So I recommend a better anti-virus. Microsoft Security Essential (free (also available in 64-bit)) an excellent one. Also, Microsoft has a page to send your virus or segment to them for them to analyze and update their database. Alternatively, AVG free edition should be fine.
If it helps you sleep better, upload the file here:
VirusTotal - Free Online Virus and Malware Scan
You will notice that many don't detect anything at all, and that those who detect something all detect something different and not the same.
Here is a fun test.
I took notepad.exe send it to virustotal.com and of course get no virus detected. Now I package it with UPX (which is what is being done with my executable), and I see that they detected a virus on a few of them.
If you want, I can provide you with an unpackage executable if you prefer (traditional layout.. where the exe has nothing included it self, but then the program won't be 100% standalone). -
