Hey, I just bought a laptop last week and was wondering if dell switch my graphics card.

    Graphics card ordered: 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600M GT
Graphics card listed: 256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 8600

The "GT" was what I ordered when customizing my notebook. The card listed was from my "order details page" I read the thread regarding nvidea cards and didn't see a "Geforce Go". Could dell just have made an error....

    Please advise>>>

Just looks like an error to me.

But as with any OEM or any Manufacturer of Laptops for that matter as soon as you receive your Laptop check all your components and ensure you got exactly what you ordered and paid for.

Nope, the Dell 1520/1500 can only come with the 8400GS, 8600GT and x3100 IRC, so its the 8500GT.
