hey guys i am playing Diablo 2 again and right now am a lvl 43 ice sorc.

Anyway when i go to kill Baal and stuff or places there r a lot of action i get like 10-15 fps. When i am in town i get about 50-60. This game ran well on my old pentium 266 mhz and the worst and oldest intel graphic chipset from like 1997 or something.

Why do i get so low FPS on the laptop in my spec? I play CSS with average 35 FPS on a 30 people server.

Could it be because i need to run it in software mode?

Play in windowed mode, the framerate will increase substantially.
To do this, right click the executable, go to properties, and add -w at the end of the Target. It will look like this: "C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -W
