    I tried the link and it doesn't work for me. On the up side at ati official site it is also up;

    ATI Catalyst? Mobility Display Driver

Seems release date is today. Awesome! Thanks for the heads up dude :) Now I can refresh my windows 7 system rating and maybe stop having crashing problems in crysis..

Hm. I have had this version for a long while now - perhaps I did not have the WHQL version, but the installer says both the Control Center and the Driver are exactly the same version. I can choose to reinstall both.

*update* ah wait.. it's getting 10.3 here as well. I'll get it from http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx - the link the OP provided included a bracket as part of the URL, that's why it did not work.

hm. I don't need the upgrade, the fixes/features mentioned in the release notes do not affect me. I will stay with 10.3, as it is working without any problems for me.

Thank you for the heads-up though ;)

Page loads all right and shows 10.4 but the download utility keeps downloading 10.3
Probably akamai servers haven't been updated yet- should be resolved soon.

Known Issues Under All Windows Operating Systems
The following section provides a summary of open issues that may be experienced under
the Windows operating system in the latest version of Catalyst™. These include:

Loading time between maps in "Battlefield 2: Bad Company" may be long

Flashing black block corruption may be visible in "Battlefield 2: Bad Company" on
    some ASICs

ffs no bad company 2 slow map loading fix. ati go freakin shame and fix it already...
why even bother to release 10.4..

I think it's been fixed for HD5xxx series but fix for HD4xxx didn't make it in time for WHQL. At least that's the case with desktops

They did release the fix for the 4xxx series. The 10.4a Previews are newer than these WHQL drivers. Problem for him is that they are for desktop, but if he can mod them, they would fix his BC2 problems.

I've got the 10.6 alpha drivers installed, all this release did was update the CCC. Not that I'm complaining ;)

Feedback: as for the HD 4570 this was a complete waste of precious downloaded MBs, cata. 10.3 preview can wipe the floor with this one in 3D performance and according to Performance Test 7 2D tests, WEI & fraps detecting 20-40 fps in aero this driver actually has worse 2D performance & the HD 4570 still performs worth than nvidia G210 when it comes to dealing with primitive 2D objects ..... I think the main difference between Nvidia & ATI is the fact that Nvidia always try to improve the performance & fix the problems of all the babies in their line unlike ATI who is only concerned about just one family .... I used to get the same drivers for my Go7900 & my sister's Go7300 and for those who don't know the Go7300 is quite a weak & old GPU and I actually used to notice performance gains in both GPUs .... actually with 190.73 driver the Go7300 managed to get around 20-25 fps in DAO @ 1024*768

I never was and never will be a Nvidia fan boy, but there is nothing wrong about stating the truth

Any advantage you see with the new CCC

I am using the 8.74 drivers also on both my desktop and laptop I knew ahead of time the 10.4 WHQL was not going to be better.

For those who need the loading time fix for BFBC2 on a 5000 series card the "10.6 alpha" has it as does the 10.4 preview drivers.

Downloaded the 32-bit setup executable twice using Catalyst Mobility Utility and failed to execute it. Obtained an error which has something to do with the checksum of the executable.

    Is anyone facing this problem?

I intalled this new driver and cataclyst from complete scratch last night. I will test crysis with it and see whether there is any performance difference. The notes say up to 3% performance increase for 48xx cards. Hopefully the same applies to the 46xx ones too!

edit: So far pretty happy with 10.4. Graphics seem generally more snappy and tighter; less fluctuation between framerates. I wouldn't be surprised if I am get at least 3% increase in performance in Crysis.

I experienced the same thing. I finally gave up. I was hoping that the latest drivers would help with my ThinkPad's switchable graphics problem, but I think I'll just wait for the official Catalyst 10.5... or 10.6... or an official fix from Lenovo

I did. When they didn't work, I tried the ATI links (just remove the akami portion of the URL). The two sources have the same download (same checksum) and both fail to install, citing "corrupt media or download".

Don't use these drivers. I had one crash with these and they messed up my temp sensors so they read 50C higher than they should. Stay clear of these!!

You know you can download the HDMI drivers seperately as a standalone? They've been available on realtek's site for a LONG time. (Realtek produced the HDMI audio chip in the 4 series cards).
