Check the actual dates of the drivers. If they are recent, it'll be 10.7 beta. Betas usually have the old driver number in CCC.

How do they perform in games or vantage? 200 marks in 06 is neither here nor there these days, especially as the programme is as much a CPU benchmark as anything else.

yeah 10.7 has no switchable support.

    *shrugs*

10.7 beta did install on my envy14 though. same way 10.6 beta did.

you run it. screen goes blank when the driver is installed. you wait awhile til the hdd stops being used (you wait like 3-5 minutes for the install to finish since windows is still working fine).

then you shut it down from the power button (set it to shut down not sleep) and when you reboot things should work fine.

with the 10.6 alpha from there I was able to install 10.6 whql without issue. just got 10.7 beta to install, haven't tried to install 10.7 whql yet.

sucks like hell with Catalyst A.I. is off which is my default ever since 10.3a because when it was on the other releases for me it had a huge frame drop ..... but on the other hand when you turn on Catalyst A.I. u get seriously smooth game play and somewhat increased framerates for some reason on this release

Do you have to uninstall current drivers before doing this? I did uninstall and then could not install neither 10.7 beta nor drivers in swsetup, it just installed c++ components and then said that all component are up to date. And of course on radeon GPU and no CCC. Any ideas?

    They're two separate things.

The sleeps crashes, are just that. Every 10th-12th time I put the machine into sleep, it turns off the screen and hangs. Annoying, especially when I use sleep 8-9 times a day.

The HDMI issues are detection related. I run an external display at home, and if I boot up with it plugged in, no problem. But if I try to detect the display from windows, or try to hot plug, it says the display isn't there and disconnects it.

The official sager 9.12's don't do this, but then you lose a good chunk of performance and other fixes.

Sounds like an issue on your part. Asus, MSI or Dell aren't having this issue and few times I glanced in Clevo, haven't seen this problem mentioned.

There are other w860cu and w870cu owners that have this problem. It's just not a huge issue, so most of us just live with it.

they're the exact same driver. The Beta has added OpenGL2.0 support, that's it.

incorrect, at least 80% of people have the sleep problem with the M17x, as well as some other issues.

How can you tell if the 10.7 update worked and was installed correctly? I don't know where I can see this at? Thanks,

I have problems resuming from sleep, even with these drivers. I tried it again, and as soon as i resumed, the display driver crashed and i had to force reboot. Stupid thing is in the event log.

Sadly, back when i had vista x64 in the 9.xx driver days, I never had this issue. Ever since I upgraded to W7, this is the result.

Its a known issue with the hd 3650 in the satelitte a300.

People who work with OpenGL will probably appreciate the beta drivers. I ran Cinebench OpenGL bench (64-bit version) and Cinebench 10 score went from 3137 to 4523 (44% improvement), Cinebench 11.529 even more impressive: from 4.31 to 11.46 (whooping 166% improvement).
