i just got my d620 with the 110m quadro. First, does anyone know what drivers work best for someone who wants to play BF2? it plays with med graphics but there are odd lines and shapes in the sky... also how do i bump the memory up to 256?

    Thanks!

    You have the NVS 110M - that's 128MB max.; the NVS 120M is 256MB.

well, here is my confusion... i did a little checking, i think dell already shared my 128 with onboard 128 to get 256. Take a look at the attached picture...

Hm, well it appears on Dell's site that the NVS 110M for the D620 is 256MB, but that is half shared and half dedicated.

I don't think you can. I've tried some from laptopvideo2go.com and none of them worked. I think you have to be able to use Nvidia's forceware, which I can't get to work on the 110M.

for BF2 I changed my native res to 16 bit color and I've been getting about 30-40 FPS on 64 player maps.

Do the forceware drivers work with a modded inf file?

On a slightly related topic, how do you tell if your graphics card is using system memory? Because I have a Geforce Go 6400, it says "Up to 128mb using TurboCache...."

This, I assumed to mean that the dedicated was 64mb and the other 64mb made up from available system ram. However, in display properties the card is reported as 128mb, and my system ram is still reported as 512mb - I only have 512mb in total.

So doe TurboCache cards work like completely shared cards, taking your ram on startup? Or do they only take the extra ram as they actually require it..?

Not too sure on that issue....I was using an xpress 200m previously which took 128mb out of my ram on startup, regardless of whether it was using it or not, and instead of 1024mb of ram reportd in system, it was 896. Just wondering if the 6400 was the same or if it only takes it if actually needed and therefore explaining why system still says I have 512mb ram installed...

I've tried the modded inf files..but since I'm not 100% sure what i'm doing I don't know if it's won't work or if i'm just doing it wrong.

When I check my video memory with my 110M it simply says 256 Meg. But I assume its 128 turbocache

The Quadro isn't really meant for gaming anyway, hence it might be awkward to get support for it....

was the increase really substantial? is it worth the effort? not to pick on you, but I know when I overclock for some reason I think the improvemnt is huge, but then after I look at the numbers..it's not really that great.

any chance you can 3d Mark it?

omegadrivers.net ? I don't know how a driver that is released in April of 2005 and based on the 66 series of forceware (which is what the nvidia omegadrivers are) can possible be as good as the current default drivers for the 110M? which at least for my Toshiba, came out mid-may based on the 80 series?

I guess I'll have to try it myself and see.

Did it also take care of the artifacts in the gameplay. I have a lot of black lines and traingles that flicker while I am playing the game.
