Lenovo T61p 14" has Nvidia Quadro 570m 128mb which performs pretty darn well!

Do you plan of gaming on this 14"? Because, imo, no one should put themselves in the torturous situation of playing on a 14" screen, even on the go.

A 14" screen isn't that small. You can barely notice the difference between a 15.4" and a 14.1". The main reason for not putting the 8600m GT in there is because of heat/power issues.

    I can definently tell the difference between a 14.1 and a 15.4

Some people don't care. Portability trumps size but not performance for them. This is not a difficult concept.

What's your budget? Kinda seems like if you want the 8600GT and a 14" you have to pay the price because most brands aren't willing to put something that hot and energy consuming in a portable.

The gap from the sides of the notebook to the keys are just too much for me to handle. I think it just looks atrocious, so I went ahead with a 14.1" laptop, which I like. Gaming is fine on a 14.1". My cousin games on his 12.1 with no problem.

But yeah, the 8600M GT is rarely ever on a 14.1" due to the reason listed above: heat. 8400M GS is a pretty decent card though. It's not great, but performs pretty well for the casual gamer.
