Can we get a list of all 15" laptops with any 9700GT or better card.

The only ones I know of are:
    ASUS G50V (9700m GT 512mb GDDR3)
    Toshiba Qosmio F55 (9700GTS 512mb GDDR3)
    Sager NP8660

Don't get a alienware m15x, they have too many problems due to overheating and they are way 2 over priced. They also don't include the new processors or the newer video cards...

    thats about it.

all laptops are pretty big for 15.4". hence the better card. The asus has dual hard drives so it has terrible batterly life from 1-2 hours idle. But thats all there is.

You won't find much in this category, it is quite hard to accomplish that kind of thing. I'll give the M860TU, as Clevo builds some nice stuff.

So even if I had $5000 to spend and I wanted a high end card in a 15", only Sager will do it?

And once again, the m15x is less like a laptop and more like a portable toaster.

And also, the 8800M GTX is for all intents and purposes identical to the 9800M GT. It is not the best, just one of the best. Alienware is, as usual, actually behind the curve. Clevo has replaced the 8800M GTX with the 9800M GT already. And when the 9800M GTX hits, lots of the 9800M GTs will get replaced with it, or at least that is what is expected.

That is true, but somewhat misleading for the purposes of this thread.

A number of 9800M GTs will be replaced I'm sure, but not for the M860TU since it won't be available for the M860TU due to heat issues.

Fair enough. But the major point was that the 9800M GT is equal to the 8800M GTX.

Yea, I know. Just didn't want OP or any other user wondering in the future why their M860TU wasn't viable for a 9800M GTX upgrade.

Fair enough. I agree completely. Yes, no one should think there will be a 9800M GTX in the M860TU. :)

9800M GT is just a rebranded 8800M GTX so actually.. yoyu can't really say they're behind the curve in that aspect. However, they don't offer the newer processors so yeah they still are behind the curve. I'd say that if you're looking for a nice 15" with 9700M GT or better, go for the M860 TU. I would totally buy one myself if I could afford it.

Well, they are behind the model number curve, heh.
