is there any better video card you can get in a 15.4" notebook than the x1600 or 7600?

The short answer is no. Those are the best available right now for 15.4" and smaller notebooks. You need to go up to 17" if you want more GPU power.

I remember reading that the most powerful GPU in a sub 17" form factor was the 512MB Go7600 in the Portable one MX/Asus A8Jm. thats a 14" Thin and light btw. As far as I know, its only offered on that model and on some Zepto model in the UK. As far as 15" laptops, nope, a 256MB Go7600 or an MRX1600 are the highest ur going to get.

I think there might be one or two more options out there with the 512mb go7600, but I could be mistaken. Either way, it's still a 7600 with more VRAM. There are also "512mb" x1600 laptops out there, but they are all "hypermemorY' or shared (256 dedicated, 256 shared).

I think that there's an Asus 15.4" which comes with 512MB 7600 but I think most 15.4" come with X1600 tops.
