    Which in theory would look better? 1600 by 1200 with no AA/AF Or 1280 by 1024 with maxed AA/AF?

    definitely 1280 by 1024 because it's uses less graphic power for the computer

    1280X1024.

    No AA isn't as big a deal if 1600X1200 is the screen's native res, but no AF at all means what.....bilinear filtering?--that's a huge visual penalty IMO.
