    Hey,
    with the release of 2.05 rivatuner, i though i can read my temperature again since the change log stated that it now support the database for 163.39 and 163.71 driver. However, it is still not reading it, it just sat at 0 degree c. Anyone else has this problem? how can i fix it?

    I have a vostro with 8600 gt and using 163.69 driver from laptopvideo2go.com.
    Thanks.

    Did you follow Gophn's guide on monitoring gpu's temp using RivaTuner? It works for me (I think) but mine (with a Go 7950GTX) always show my temp is around 47 degrees... That's normal right? :rolleyes:

    Thanks for the reply guys....
    @Mak
    Yeah, I did follow the guide when i first installed rivatuner with the stock driver. But ever since i upgraded to 163.69 the temperature reading just sits at 0 c always.

    @Big V
    Yeah i'll try clean installing nvidia driver, i already tried clean installing rivatuner and it's no good. Thanks for the suggestion.

    I have the same problem

    I just installed rivatuner 2.05, and it didn't fix this problem. Hardware monitoring worked on all previous drivers before 163.69. Is there any fix for this?

    dude, how come i went from .44 - .67 - .69 - and now .71 and never had such a problem? i don't think i'm unique or anything. do the clean install, would ya? completely delete the drivers:
    1) control panel
    2) restart in safe mode, then use the driver cleaner(u can also look for nvidia reg line i regedit)
    3) restart and install the drivers

    i'm using vista, but had no problems with rivatuner prior to updating to 163.69 drivers. i want to monitor my temps because i started getting artifacts after playing cs for a lengthy period of time.

    after uninstalling, using drive sweeper, and reinstalling 163.69, i'm getting a registry error upon startup -

    Error loading C:\Windows\system32\nvHotkey.dll

    The specified module could not be found.

    :(

    i used driver cleaner and reinstalled 163.69, the same thing happened... i just reverted back to the stock dell drivers and the problem is gone

    i guess i'll wait for the proper version of 163.71 to come out with a modded inf

    thanks for the help
