Just managed to upgrade to 163.69 ....
some issues resolved : the screen doesnt crash when i close the lid while playing games...although fps is too variable...goes to 30 then jumps to 72....screen remains blank for longer time in vista when i press alt+ctrl+del ..

and finally i got back the control panel on nvidia working normally

i want to know how is this driver compared to 163.75

    is this 163.69 cool?

Its cool, 163.75 improves over it though according to my experience and that of others

Just updated to 163.75, it's very stable. As for performance wise, i don't see any improvement over the older one. And finally, my non-widescreen games can finally be displayed, well, in non-widescreen letterbox (rather than squeezed).

Although I do notice my fans doesn't kick in as much, as loud before... need to do more testing on this...

quick feedback on 163.76 xp. FEAR and Guild War don't see any performance leap over 163.75 xp, but no compatibility issue for me.
