The 169.04 drivers are the best out. Here are my scores in 3DMark06-1280x800:

    169.28 - 4883
    169.04 - 5010

OC'ed to the same level on my 8600 (650/490)

I get more FPS in Crysis, as these drivers were made for Crysis. And here are benchmarks for Crysis, resolution on both at 1280x800, level Contact:

    169.28 - 17-23
    169.04 - 27-32

They also have the best OC ability. With 169.28 drivers, my OC would actually underclock because of the known PowerMizer issue; with 169.04, I can OC and they stay, so long as I disable PowerMizer. Try them for yourself and post results - if you don't believe me just try, you won't regret it.

Yea, the same thing happened to me. With the stock drivers, i got something like 30 fps. Now i have 40+.

How did you disable Powermizer? I am using 169.09, and everything is fine with OC until I play FSX, which underclocks it by exactly half. (275/325)

I am on 169.04 as well. Only driver i can have all mobile features, overclock and use the old control panel with the 8400M GS on this Sony SZ. The latest RivaTuner Tuner only seem to support 169.04 offically as well. Any later drivers will not overclock on this laptop. Excellent performance as well.

These Drivers are good for game performance but overall they arent that good. Movie/Video playback got ****ty after switchning to these drivers.. IF anyone has any suggestions of how to overcome this or what other decent NEW drivers are available please let me know...
