    Check

    http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showforum=72

    to download :)

(modded inf not available yet, if you can't wait use the 169.04 modded inf)

    EDIT:
Already heard a story of somebody who installed this driver: 3Dmark06 score is the same, fps in all games are the same
(Somebody can confirm this story? :))

    thanks for the heads up

one thing i don't understand is why are all these nvidia drivers BETA...they have released millions yet they are still in BETA...makes no sense to me. Or is the BETA just their to justify any problems with them lol like Gmail was in beta for ages

I think they're beta because they (Nvidia) have to wait for Microsoft's certification (or something like that), yet Nvidia releases them in the meantime so we don't have to wait.

This is another "Recommended driver for Crysis" btw, according to Nvidia.

Yes indeed, but i think it just fixes some bugs (no performance increase)

Seems like the water reflection bug for Crysis in 169.04 has been ironed out in this one.. :)

all notebooks have to have the custom .INF file for the installation to succeed.

Yes, but the demo itself lacks support for SLI so you're not going to see any difference with these drivers. The full game will have SLI support though.

Nvidia is putting out drivers faster than I can download them. I'll give these a try.

Anyone see performance increased either under the retail version or LaptopVideo2Go's latest drivers?

    Thanks

These drivers do not seem to give me any performance increase in Crysis over 160.04, unfortunately. The full game is even harder on your hardware than the demo.

Yeah... with my SLI setup, the 169.09 drivers actually gave me worse performance (full game). So much for "SLI support"...

Unless you have a SLI setup, or you've noticed some kind of water reflection bug in Crysis, I don't see any reason to switch from 169.04 to 169.09.

For now, these drivers are not worth it. Wait for a completely optimized driver from Nvidia once Crysis officially hits store shelves.

I went from 157.22 (I think) to the 169.02 (about a week ago)
    My 3DMark went down 1 or 2 points :p

    I'll try the 169.09 this weekend I think :)

To all 169.09 users, it seemed gamespot deliberately downgraded to 169.04 for non-SLi nvidia cards for its hardware performance guide. Perhaps this driver version is best optimised for the SLi configurations and doesn't offer a significant performance increase to warrant upgrading from 169.04.

All 160xx driver series are beta drivers Limpman as far as I know. The latest official nvidia drivers according to laptopvideo2go is the 156 released to laptop OEMs.

From looking at the nvidia site 163.75 was the last official release driver. My guess is the used the 169.04 because it has been out for a few days now and it appears stable. 169.09 was just released in the past few days.

THIS DRIVER IS NOTE RECOMMENDED FOR ASUS G1S USERS (stay with the 169.04 driver !)

I was playing cod4 suddenly i had dots and lines on my screen, i couldn't see anything any more....
After rebooting my G1S the problem was solved, but i go back to the 169.04 driver !!!
