im about to install the 169.09 drivers on my g1s, if it installs successfully, then would i have to delete nething? like maybe the stock drivers? or does installin the new drivers overwrite the stock ones?

    1) Uninstall current drivers, use driversweeper.
    2) reboot
    3) instal 169.09 driver
    4) reboot
    5) enjoy :)

Ummm just to be sure on something...

I just install new drivers, I don't actually go out and uninstall the old ones... is that bad? :D

When I check my drivers for my graphics card, the latest one shows up in Device Manager. Therefore, I'm sure that the new drivers are indeed installed.

sure they are installed but if you dont remove the old ones first, its not gonna run right...

to uninstall your drivers go into device manager, right click on your graphics card and choose uninstall

then do what eleron said and you'll be good to go.

ps: some people suggest you running driversweeper in safe mode to ensure you get all the registry files, but thats up to you.

Instead of using Driver Sweeper, can I use CCleaner to clean my registry? The reason I'm asking is because I already have CCleaner installed.

Nevermind, I realize why you need to use Driver Sweeper.

I followed your instructions and my drivers are working great! I have yet to try NHL 08 but I'm sure it will be great.

Thanks, +1 rep to both of you!
